Noragami is alright—decent characters, good presentation—but it’s so damn conservative. Like, you would need to change very little of this to make it a Catholic show. Hell it may as well be Catholic after the exorcism scene I just finished, complete with “confess your sins!”

That’s to say nothing of the individualism crap. Suicide? School shooters? Economic anxiety? What do they all have in common? Well, according to Noragami they’re all the cause of bad life choices. Nothing societal, just bad people being bad when they could just choose to be “good”. Plus one character is fucking rich as shit and berates a homeless kid for stealing a skateboard. All I wanted was a time waster show about a secret society fighting monsters after dark. What the fuck.
