Yeah, yeah, possible leaked ending, blah blah. Not anyone’s preference. I think this would be a good thing actually, like with Kentaro Miura’s death. Its fair to say that these works gave these men reason to keep going, right? Not too gauche. That journey, as shared thru the channels of commercialism, should ideally impart on audiences the importance of facing the present and that only one ending is “canon”.

Personally, I measure my fulfillment from stories by the experience as its happening, not after the fact. When a story is good I feel swept away, like I’m being carried by a stranger. As a consequence of this I find endings to be the least important part to any story.

So the idea that HxH and Berserk are just these tales, unbound to a strict convention that the profit motive doesn’t really fuck with anyways makes them special to me.
