looked at ebay real briefly and found a waterblocked EVGA 3090 kingpin (edit: $2199 MSRP, $1399 after an instant rebate) for $960 US shipped
Pure GPGPU cards are going for sweet fuck all too already so I guess that answers that.
Got it in one. I mean ebay's probably going to have to add a new condition category of "previously-incinerated" for them but even so the GTX 1060 I'm using came out of a case I found buried under a pile of mattresses in an a basement that had some number of mice nesting in it so it's probably still a step up.
