as annoying as dealing with all this is, the fact that I can:
- Do all this bullshit a bit at a time over the course of a few weeks an hour at a time instead of having to pull a couple servers down for Scheduled Downtime to do a bunch of Management all at once and I've only had total ~fifteen minutes outage time consisting of plugging in a hard drive.
- Feel reasonably confident that GEOM and ZFS will keep me from accidentally fucking myself at least in the most obvious ways
still makes this orders better than when I was making $20/hr doing systems and networks in the 90s.
