That was their answer to "we want you to run our code but we don't want to be bound to your CI/CD cycle": Just call this API and then eval() whatever we send you.
I managed to avoid swearing too much!
(This is a slight oversimplification in that it's a Java system and so instead of eval this involved some immensely cursed bullshit involving URLClassloader)

I must stress that our system is already rigged up to do this but only in test environments, so we already have the harnessing required. I love Enterprise Java systems.
