you're telling me that Hewlett-Packard, notorious enemy of repairability and peddler of the world's shittiest printers, at one point made a printer with fucking user-replacable and upgradable memory?
this shit just makes me hate them even more because it shows that they COULD make a decent product if they felt like it. fuck Hewlett-Packard.
Oh yeah the old LaserJet printers and DesignJet plotters were about as good to work on as printers ever got. HP used to be about the gold standard for serviceable printing hardware (IBM/Lexmark small laser printers were great for that too) which makes their current incarnation even more infuriating
