there should be a word for that bizarre sensation you get when you click "exit vrchat" and everyone in the room vanishes. the 3 seconds in which you abruptly experience a room in solitude which was just full of people.
It's too bad "liminality" just means "a store after closing when no one's there" because that might be a good place to start otherwise
