the thing about the Corpus is that they are absolutely, baldfacedly evil in a way that hits close to home. they're basically all late-stage capitalists who unfortunately didn't get the memo about late-stage capitalism imploding on itself and instead stayed relevant via war-profiteering, indentured labor slavery, and violent union busting. you get a close and personal look at their horrors and it's played as entirely, seriously appalling, as it should be.
but also? they're just so hilariously cartoonish at the same time. it's a whole fucking faction of Scrooge McDucks. they have literal statues of giant gold hands on their ships which they make offerings of Special Money to. there's a dude with a stock market ticker beard and a dollars robe. all of their grunts wear this stupid tinblock helmet that pops off when you shoot it, and they have a bunch of annoying robot minions that supposedly make things harder, except if Mag so much as glances in their direction they all explode. also they have a fucking money bible that their robots quote at you as you blow them up.
horrible, horrible people. I love to hate them but I also just love them in a "I want to stick them inside an ant farm and rattle the glass" way
