this is my original walk test for this mecha, I never posted it anywhere because my original background didn't work out, and the render had style issues.
the original was a volcano type environment, Ive replaced that with a sand dune strewn with wreckage, which I pulled from another unfinished project.
I'm still experimenting with the style. Ive over layed a cell shaded render and a realistic render, with outlines.
I'm using the new kuwahara node as a denoise on the environment, it looked cool in stills, but I needed more render time to get the noise down before the effect would be stable frame to frame. the compression artifacts in the gif swamped that problem, but it wasn't good enough to be uploaded as a video. Also, I spent like an hour adding a dynamic footprint effect that didn't render properly (or at all).
