My favorite asbestos story is that the forward gym on the Stennis was in a space under the anchor chain winch and there was a giant clearly labeled asbestos brake pad in the middle of the room where everybody was running on treadmills and breathing heavily 🤪
Sure, it was in a (probably) sealed metal casing, but it was still such a funny visual
