I hope we look back at this point in history and think of it as a brief moment when humanity had been misguided and lost sight of things that truly matter

I bet you 50 playcoins this is a H*rizon W*rlds cross-brand promotion and it's going to amount to some Online World that looks like total shit compared to even the lowest effort vrchat world

honestly it just doesn’t hit the same without an exec making a speech to an entirely empty room other than the person filming

actually i take this back, this taco bell thing sounds worse

(there’s more in the thread if you click through)

not only a very poor choice of platform, but calling this a ā€œmetaverse weddingā€ is like calling GDQ ā€œmetaverse speedrunningā€ because there’s an (unofficial) world in VRChat which was dedicated to the stream

more and more in-person conventions are having a VR portal to their virtual convention, where the people on both sides actually want to interact with each other to the extent the magfest badges had a multiplayer game on them with skeletal data live from VRChat
while here, it sounds like they were more annoyed about it than anything else

and you compare this to furality last week, people performing in VR to crowds of thousands, broadcast as holograms within 50+ individual instances

can the biggest companies in the world not find someone that a. actually cares about what they’re doing, and b. is still willing to work with them?
