Gotta say, I'm feeling validated about deciding to stop following game news after hearing a games podcast ad that spends most of its time listing off new game titles with pauses in between, as though each one on its own is meant to represent a source of hot-off-the-presses discussion and excitement. For me I just get this weird consumerist FOMO, which isn't great for my time management or finances
heard what i assume is the same ad a few mins ago and it's just... overwhelming, and a bad ad for what's normally "in-depth discussion of one game per episode, followed by a few misc (often not-game) picks" - which works for me in terms of staying connected-ish while still having less time for them than i used to
but i suppose there are very few good ads for podcasts
