first time using affinity designer for a full on project (which some may or may not see the first draft of tomorrow), and yeah, coming from inkscape for texture work, this is very nice for being able to combine rasters and vectors; adding a colour adjustment layer to a base raster texture, before adding some vector detailing

it can be a little confusing what some things only being editable in the raster mode, and there's sometimes some workarounds for e.g. if you want to do things with symmetry
but a lot of times i still learn something neat with those workarounds

the export options are neat as well - my export workflow in inkscape when working with things with masks would be exporting the main texture, hiding the main texture layer, showing the mask layer(s), exporting those to separate filenames - but affinity designer has an option where it can export multiple files based on layers automatically
