last rechost: i still want to get a pico to replace my quest 1 - i do not necessarily want the standalone features of a headset, but i'm too used to connecting wirelessly to a PC at this point
i don't regret the purchase from what it enabled (it being on a deep sale at the time helped) and i don't regret the VR optician lenses either, because even with the glasses spacer that was very cramped (even if it does cause problems if i have to quickly take the headset off to check something on the PC and have to deal with either everything being blurry or glasses on/glasses off)
but i made the decision months ago that i'm not investing any further money in the platform
my last actual purchase on the oculus store was may 2020
my right controller has a nasty split (i assume most likely from the baseball minigame in sam & max vr, since i did hit something pretty hard during that). i've bodged together a fix, but if it fully breaks, that will be that - particularly as the quest 1 controllers aren't the same as the quest 2 controllers so would also be expensive if i turned to ebay
