formally documenting some things about headspaces and noticing how to an external observer after we're gone, this is probably going to look like a fan wiki for a show they haven't watched
anyway, what i actually wanted to write before getting distracted by backlinks was these entries
The Memory Palace
A vast palatial museum. The walls are made from expensive materials (marble or glass as some examples, depending on the mood - also something white and sparkly). The vast majority of it is unmapped; there's a wing dedicated to Homestar Runner somewhere but we couldn't tell you the directions from the entrance.
There are no other visitors; whichever of us wants to wander these halls often does so alone.
The design is minimal to the extreme; exhibits are sparsely laid out in rooms that resemble voids.
This location was picked up following reading Tricks of the Mind (we think, unsure without rereading). Since 2022, visits to it are often accompanied by music from The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe Soundtrack - specifically the TSP2 expo.
It is primarily a facade, and largely unused. It can be a place for solo contemplation, but it can also just be something to mock the concept of having this. We do not tend to think of things like this, particularly now - why capture in a vault of glass what could be captured much better in a vault of Obsidian?
The Archives
A vast, seemingly infinite storage room. Boxes lined with papers, film reels, records, etc. as far as the eye can see.
(Visual refs: The City That Dares Not Sleep - Max's inventory; The Lab - Catapult; Control; Scrooge's money bin from DuckTales (2017) but with other stuff instead of cash; IKEA sales floors)
π©· has been spending a lot of time here following the initial shock; diving into and out of boxes, singing various songs she finds into the PA system, which is also helping a little with the voice training.
Other things might be faxed or sent via pneumatic tube; either more modern equipment is discouraged or this room was somehow here before we were born.
