This is a quick introductory post giving you an overview of our system, contact info, and details on how we use Cohost.
The system
π beeps (it/its) is a shapeshifting cryptid who builds website UIs for a living and writes about stuff for fun.
π Olive (they/she) is a non-vocal, squirrel-shaped living plushsuit who likes space and cute animal videos.
π We're both non-binary, non-human, asexual critters. You can read about who we are on the about pages of beeps' website.
βοΈ Links for contact info and profiles on other websites are on beeps.gay.
π³ The other member of our system has their own profile: @bloatware.
Cohost tags
Most posts on here are by beeps. Posts solely or primarily by Olive will be tagged as #oliveposting.
Introspective posting about our fursonas, system and non-humanity gets posted under the #beeps & olive lore tag. Furry art we've commissioned goes under #art for beeps.
beeps changes shape a lot. Mainly it's an #amphimorpho, but can sometimes spend time as a #pooltoy, #plushie, #yinglet, #PokΓ©mon or many kinds of #bats.
Some posts we make are not necessarily friendly for screen readers or those with certain accessibility needs (e.g. dyslexia). For ease of filtering, these are tagged as #css crimes (for posts with typically mangled HTML) and #yinglet (for the Yinglet speech/typing quirk) respectively.
We may occasionally forget to tag something. If we notice it, we will tag it retrospectively after-the-fact. Older posts may also be missing tags.
Content restrictions
We don't post or share explicit content on this profile.
Due to restrictions relating to my job, we will tend to avoid posting or resharing content that is political in nature, particularly those relevant to British politics.
We don't reshare signal boosting, fundraising or callout posts unless they're for people or causes that are particularly close to us. (There are just too many, otherwise.)
