The BlueCurve app...

  • Is completely disorganized, with settings and options spread across four tabs/sections with seemingly no rhyme or reason
  • Frequently disagrees with the router's web interface about which devices are and are not connected (and is always wrong)
  • Reports completely wrong information about devices about half the time (incorrect hostnames, IP addresses, connection statuses, connection over wifi vs ethernet, etc)
  • Crashes and errors constantly (frequent "let's try that again" popups and hard crashes to home screen)
  • Does not use any specific error messages, instead just saying "We're Having Some Trouble" or "Something Went Wrong" whenever something goes wrong, which is constantly.
  • Lies??? (Says that devices that have been shut off have active connections when using the connection tester feature)
  • Is FULL OF FUCKING ADS

Fuck Shaw. We need community broadband 20 goddamn years ago.

...port forwarding is a basic feature... but I too am frustrated by mobile configs. The webpage we have forces HTTPS, and if anything I set up needs that port... oh well, now you're stuck mobile-config-only. The port forwarding we have doesn't differentiate between LAN and WAN port forwards. Ugh.

Can someone with one of these check the first 3 octects of the mac address and see what company it brings up? I'm sure we can find out which one of the big modem companies is behind this and show up at the houses of various C suite members.
