being able to interact with it with just pinching your fingers twice seems neat. it (potentially) solves a specific problem i had, specifically, how the fuck do i use the phone camera on the rare occasion i am wearing bappy fursuit paws.
at the same time, it has also been a while since i last wore bappy fursuit paws, and there is another solution to this problem also presented at this event. we fidget a lot, so what's that going to do in terms of accidental activations?
and double pinch to turn off your alarm just seems like a really bad idea in the scenario where that isn't being used for accessibility reasons, that seems like a situation where you want a little more complexity to help you wake up
we're still using a series 6, and the battery in it is really starting to be a problem now... particularly with the addition of the exercise bike to our routine.
i've wondered about an ultra for a while just to not have to worry about battery again for a few years, and providing the price/warranty is right i still feel like a used ultra 1 is probably going to be the better bet

apple has outdone themselves this time, with the most boring set of colours in a pro phone ever - but i suppose most people are just sticking it in a case. (hopefully those extra thin bezels don't make cases a pain?)
i'm glad to have (the choice of) a physical camera button back. when i swapped from windows phone to iphone, it was one of the things i missed a lot, and i even bought the battery case for the 11 which randomly had a camera button on it (i still have that case but not the phone)
the gaming section was... weird. i have never once thought "you know what would really improve my mobile gaming experience? RAYTRACING"
but hey at least i suppose it provides pokemon go a rare opportunity to drain even more battery
but things like resident evil 4 remake/village coming to the phone, i thought everyone worked out at this point that AAA console ports aren't a great idea with touch controls?
the telescope lens or ultra prism or whatever they're calling it might get me to upgrade from the medium phone to the large one, but there's a decent chance i won't be happy about it

as kind of expected, in a tick-tock cycle, this is the tock - but it is an upgrade year for me, and i'm happy to get refinements on the things from last year along with being able to get rid of the vast majority of lightning cables we have
