time to find out how well trying to set up an avatar in Resonite's desktop mode works on Deck
(disclaimer: i have not tried resonite at all on deck yet)
it's reasonable to say this wasn't a good idea for multiple reasons
- it has native linux support but didn't actually show the tutorial/login screen under it - had to switch to proton
- it needs a community control scheme, but that's an easy fix
- if not in vr, it seems like it would be substantially easier with a proper mouse and a big monitor to make dragging and dropping stuff easier, and also scrolling through inspector windows. this is why this is only partially textured because setting up materials is a pain and then dragging them to the right spot in the inspector is a pain
- the import wizard does not detect the left and right leg so the above is the view in the mirror if you try and equip it? possible i did something wrong in the avatar creator
- on a related note, the left and right hands don't seem to be symmetrical in the avatar creator? leaving the symmetry option on, they wouldn't line up properly (though possible i accidentally moved a bone)
