Revere by John Smith, Simon Harrison, Annie Parkhouse, and Jack Potter remains transcendent, beautifully depicting the spirit collapsing and rebuilding anew amidst the flesh’s weakness. Weird 2000AD at its finest—Smith’s spiritual romanticism is lovely, Harrison’s art is glorious.

Finally got to read the two DEVLIN WAUGH books I bought in England, which are very fun. Smith’s writing tends a bit more toward cultural exoticism than is often comfortable, but his storytelling is an immense amount of fun, and he—as always—brings the best out of artists.
