I really enjoyed this—a comic in the loosest terms, a wonderfully tactile, gorgeously realized stampede of whimsical overwhelm, combining illustrative art with collage of landscape photos and comics from around the world to forge its own tradition.
I'd read strips from this obe in the past, but I finally got a chance to read the first print collection, and it is a delight. Beaton asserts a strong, clear voice from the very beginning, and her humor is consistently delightful. Perfect humor comics.
