I read both volumes today, and this book is phenomenal. A gorgeous dive into the oft-thwarted attempt to imagine an existence free of subsumption, with some of the most rich—and particularly richly-textured—cartooning you're likely to find.

The original run of Stray Bullets is tremendous—just a crescendo of misery that never loses a single bit of its impact. Lapham has a phenomenal ear for character that makes this all feel emotionally real, resulting in one of the most striking comics I’ve read.
The New World is a very fun book about choosing how to engage with the lies you were fed. Aleš’ script wonderfully realizes the world’s coexistence of beauty and agony, while Tradd and Heather Moore deliver some of the finest, most propulsively ecstatic art in mainstream comics.
