new rule. autism help guides for children and for people who are not autistic should not show up in search engines unless you type some variation of "children," "for parent," or "non autistic" into the search bar. i am sick of searching "[symptom] autism help" and getting "does your 2 month old have AUTISM?!?! Heres how to know!!!"

Yeaaaaah. I'm so very tired of autism being treated as "the children's disorder" that only ever applies to children and magically goes away once you're over 18. I've ranted on this before so I won't go into it again but bullshit like this is why it took me years (and way too much goddamn money) to find help for my autism.

Like it's not even a stigmatisation of autistic adults - It's a goddamn erasure of them.

Been feeling this while trying to research therapists. When I apply both "adult" and "autism" filters on websites, the results still wind up clogged with therapists who work with families and/or NT parents of neurodivergent children.
