oh jesus that's a tough one. idk if i can necessarily choose an absolute favorite out of thin air, but off the top of my head, ive always ADORED the illustration of Noriyoshi Ohrai for the heisei era of godzilla films. Peak 'Ziller illustration right here. -
"Biggest artist pet peeve?"
This is a hard one cuz like, obviously the biggest ones are shit like "folks stealing art. Tracing. using generative AI" etc but i feel like thats both kind of a boring answer and misses the spirit of the question. But also, i do have a lot of pet peeves that, frankly, fall under "if you cant say anything nice, dont say anything at all". Sometimes you have rude thoughts, and you know theyre rude, so why voice em.
the best i can give you that wont feel like im tryin to piss in folks cereal and start shit is like: sorry but i really dont care for 'sex clouds' in porn. At best, they obscure the porn im trying to gaze upon, at worst, it just looks like youve surrounded a character in what might as well be fucking stink lines. I know for some people, scent and musk etc is a turn on but for me, smell is something i am NOT thinking about when it comes to sex, i am not engaging in that sense, i do not want to think about how characters smell in any way other than "freshly showered and pleasant".
no judgement if you draw em, and its not like they completely kill any appreciation i have for a piece or an artist's work, but theyre not something i like.
