back when Elon first acquired twitter, there was a whole debacle cuz his hasty rebranding to X involved making some changes to the twitter HQ that fucked with local city trees, and everyone was screaming "ohhh shit elon messed with TREE LAW he's gonna get it now!" and talking it up like the city was gonna throw the book at him and it was like, a $200 fine.
not saying the adobe suit would end up THAT ineffective but just that i struggle to imagine the us govt actually reigning in adobe's shitty practices in any meaningful way at this point that wont feel like the equivalent of the "tree law" fine.
as said before tho, ill gladly eat crow if im wrong.
I hope at least it opens up Adobe to a class action so people can get back money for their stupid ass cancellation fee.
I imagine the result is going to be altering the wording and presentation of their contract fees
yeah i doubt it'll come to much B U T theyve already been in trouble with the US gov for kickbacks, and had to pay a ton of cash to settle it out of court
