•Týrwhoden: A syncretic deity combining the germanic gods Týr and Odin brought to Baskfell from Earth by pagan Visigoths. Worshipped presently by Manēnnites and in isolated cults among the southern Kritzi tribes. Devotion to this deity (among other factors) caused conflicts among the Goths that lead to them splitting into the three nations of Theodorsa, Zograh and Manēn.
• The Supreme Origin: The metaphysical and cosmological origin of all things, beyond duality or multiplicity. It's unknown where and when the Origin was first taught, as it is present in other faiths to some extant. In the past, it was only considered reachable through mediators; but it was by the prophet/mathematician Pyth of Pyutha, a former farmer and shopkeeper, that direct contemplation of the Origin was taught to be possible.
• The Well (also called "Our Wealth" or Féleism): An umbrella term for a variety of religions and philosophies practiced by the Macs'aféle, a majority of which were once suppressed under the Laila Dynasty. The three biggest sects are (in clockwise order):
-
The Argyos Codices: A vast compendium of teachings by ancient scholars and sages, used by the High Council of Kite City, that gives lessons on agriculture, law, various rituals to protector deities, and medicine.
-
Machs'afélian Star Worship: Founded by scientists studying the stars; believe in the sentience of various celestial bodies, and that knowing them is the purpose of life. Built the Observatory of the Kite, which is used by all astronomers, whether or not they're star worshippers.
-
Ëzyaptan: The oldest practicing sect and the one with the most adherents; worships the two-headed fire/sun goddess Ëzyap. Once connected with the Laila Monarchy, it became a legally distinct sect after the monarchy was removed from power.
