Commanders Á-chr and Laszló never really get along with each other well. Laszló cannot stand Á-chr's materialistic lifestyle and pretentious clinging to the inferior old ways of Laila; Á-chr sees Laszló as a mystic lost in his own world, a young man unfit to govern.

They do have to talk with each other when the
other commanders hold conference, but Laszló would prefer to stay far away from him when at a social event.
