Hmmm! OC ask: How loosely or strictly do they use the word 'friend'?

Even though Hess never had a lot of friends growing up, even as a kid, he was known for being kind and agreeable (he says he gets it from his mom). When he calls you 'friend', he seems to really mean it! And when he left his small, rural town with just himself and all the things he could fit in a backpack, his friendliness helped him get by on the road.
Reese is very picky with whom he calls friend. For him, being a friend is like being a creative collaborator; you have to bring something he considers 'cool' to the table and mean it to spark a bond. He pushes away those he thinks are 'posers'.
