Walking Thrones are giant terrestrial crabs that make their home with the mermaids of the Soothloch. These friendly creatures build chairs and nests on their backs using rock, moss, woven seagrass, coral, and anything else they can find on the lakebed.

They love to filter feed on every type of terrain, and they’re more than happy to give others a comfortable ride in exchange for companionship & compliments~ Mermaids often befriend them and in exchange the thrones help them travel across land!

Wheelchairs, both mundane and magical, exist in the Enchanted Forest... and so do massive crab friends. đź’•

Newts in The Enchanted Forest of Little Wolves start life no bigger than a fingernail at the bottom of Whisperer’s Canyon, but never stop growing.

As they age, they make their way up the cliffside and eventually find themselves in the Witch Court’s domain.

By the time they’re juvenile, they’re roughly the length of an arm. It’s around this time when a Witch Court member finds one as a familiar. They continue to grow and eventually leave their Witch to find a place to live out their days.

Ancient newts are sometimes called dragons.

Timber Eels are serpent-bodied ambush predator with rough bark-like scales. While the true size of their bodies is hidden beneath the ground, the Timber Eel’s head will wait perfectly still, mimicking a dead stump or log.

They can lie in wait for weeks, even while moss and barnacles grow on the surface of their skin. Timber Eels prey on lone creatures that dare to wander too closely. Usually a sacrifice can be made to satiate a Timber Eel.
