Have you ever tried to participate in a ttrpg adventure game jam (or two) and then accidentally make a game instead? 'Cause I sure have... :D

WHAT WAITS BEYOND is an immersive solo journaling game about death, loss, and regret. In Beyond, you find yourself in a starship at the edge of a black hole, all hope lost and the end of the road right in front of you. It's unlikely your character and their crew will have a happy ending, only that they'll try to make the most of it in spite of their fear and hopelessness.

What will you reflect on in your last moments, and how will your crew mates respond to their approaching end?

In Beyond, you'll play Wish Solitaire. Each turn will guide you with journaling prompts and, occasionally, events that interrupt your contemplation-- some making things a little easier, others potentially bringing an abrupt end to your game.

Hey y'all, Nevyn here! I wanted to talk a little about the art process that's gone into You're In Space, and what it was like for me to do it!

I'll start by saying that I've had a bit of a stressful relationship with Making Pictures for a while. I really liked doing it in highschool, but I had a lot of bad feedback and critique from peers and teachers alike that lead to me stopping- nothing I made was good enough, so why bother, right? It lead to me never being satisfied with what I put on a page as a result of constantly trying to stick to the ideals and visions of those around me, instead of just making what I wanted, so I stopped.

Fast forward like 50 billion years and I'm working on Spacefucked. I've been designing the game for a while, and Jam and I started talking about what kind of art it should have.

CONNECTED TO MED 3

h-hello?
can anyone hear this?
is there anyone still alive?
If you - hear this I can't find -

CONNECTION LOST

Through interference-riddled video and crushed soundbytes, you hear the voice of someone familiar. You know them, you know where they are- stuck down in the medbay on deck 3. With the elevators busted and the stairs crawling with meat-things, there's at least 20 minutes between you and them- not accounting for the new predators making homes in the halls.

You sigh to yourself. You know you're going to help, or at least try to. Best case, you have a friendly face that owes you a favor. Worst case, you find something you can use. The further you go into this hell, the more you realize just how unlucky you are. Every new corridor leads to some fresh monstrosity made of metal and hunger, a kitbash of faces, tongues, and chitin with its endless eyes set on your meat.

Flickering lights hide shape in shadow, give you glimpses of blood-splattered posters for some new holobook. The man on it is covered in the slick, fresh red. You hear something awful, turn to see something worse, go to raise your plasma-torch, try to aim--Dark. Shock. Pain. Light. It moved a hell of a lot faster than you.

You open your eyes and instinctively reach for your head and neck to make sure it's still connected. You're relieved to be whole again. You're back on the comms deck, pulling yourself out of the last Respawn Unit you slept in.

But when a thick drip lands on you, you find something scrawled across the ceiling.
