I don't like digging deep into the ptsd reasons for why I find it so hard to reply to messages, even from people I care about. It's not fun to remember, it's not fun to understand. It does, however make me feel less guilty. It offers a little bit of protection against the painful self-talk where I am simply lazy or I do not care enough or I see my friends as disposable etc etc. And it's good to weaken that self-talk because guilt is one of the things that triggers my avoidance symptoms even harder.
