Does anybody else feel like in 2020 it all of a sudden became okay to talk about being plural?

yeah, there was a bit of an upsurge in it (speaking as someone who became "aware" in 2020)
i think the pandemic resulted in a LOT of traumagenic systems that spring/summer
Yeah we wonder if it might also have had something to do with more people socializing online, resulting in less pressure to be normal
yeah, after i clicked submit i had that thought too. different methods of connecting to others that allowed more room for identity exploration, more introspective downtime that might otherwise be spent out of the house, and probably a decent amount of "wait, this is a thing? let me try looking at myself through that lens" too
I'm also pretty sure I caused a cascade of plural realizations in one of my local social circles in like, February (we're being vague on the details to protect the privacy of those involved)
fair enough. your followup post also made me recall that in late 2019 i went to talk with a metamour (now partner) who's been a system for ~a decade. i was having growing anxiety problems around the emergence of a few systems in my usual haunts, mainly around not having any idea how to navigate plurality in the social sense, and wanted to get better about it.
it's a good thing i did, otherwise i might've freaked out a biiiiit more about my own split happening that following july
Oh God that means it has happened/is happening on TikTok doesn't it
