At this point I do not believe true transgender liberation is possible without family abolition. I've seen other people's proposals for how to achieve gender liberation while keeping intact the power structures of the nuclear family, and setting aside the fact that some parents simply hate trans people, these proposals seem to expect the parents to have superhuman emotional intelligence and limitless time and effort to unlearn their own gender baggage.
