Like a game with absolutely awful reviews that is getting rightfully torn to shreds in the discourse for promoting flawed ideology or whatever
And yet someone happened to be in the right spot in their life or the right mindset that one scene hit them like a freight train and changed their life for the better
It's a nice little reminder to me that the impact of your work doesn't exist until the moment someone perceives it, and is a unique moment that the viewer contributes just as much to as you do.
I do too and I'm hoping that moving to Cohost from Twitter and Tumblr will give me greater latitude to talk about my own such experiences without clout farmers jumping in to shout to the world about how my experiences with media make me an evilbad person!
