told my unemployment officer that im starting a tech course this year and she panicked saying "oh not game development right?" and, after saying no, informed me that half of her other cases are or were aiming for that industry.
you don't think of NZ primarily when discussing gamedev, outside of a scant few indie studios (go PoE!). i suppose this is a key symptom.
