sony's multiplatform version history is so funny it's like
the PS1 had the least specialized hardware of its generation and got the worst ports.
the PS2 had the most specialized hardware of its generation and got the worst ports.
the PS3 was ridiculously powerful but designed by crazy moon people and required a PhD to understand. it got the worst ports.
i never understood that famous gabe newell quote as a kid, where he trashed the PS3 outright as a terrible idea. it's a console just like the other ones, i thought, what's the problem?
then years later i actually sat down and read about its Cell processor architecture and oh my sweet baby jesus...
