i find it interesting that in WA, i can't grow things for shit. In AZ, I had a nice garden plot in school, i won awards at the county fair for my mint, i sold cilantro by the gallon bagful each week for a few bucks. i had a nice yellow tomato plant in my backyard at my parents, and in general was able to keep things alive more or less easily.
But I moved to WA in 2019 and every attempt to grow or keep plants alive ive tried here has failed miserably. the climate is just too different, even indoors! zach has kept my aloe plants alive for me (he has them inside for the winter now with a UV grow light and everything), and I haven't quite killed the pothos my friend gave me when they moved out, but ive gotten really close. but my herbs, my veggies, my flowers, my cat grass and lizard dandelions have all died. i just am not knowledgeable about how to garden in the pnw at all
