the art teacher at work had never heard of zines (? HOW) so I'm going to go through my collection and pick out middle-school-friendly zines and print off some free one-page ones too and bring them in so she can maybe do a lesson on Zines

i'd never heard of a zine until maybe a couple years ago? they're only a thing in some niches.
I guess I'm surprised because she's a 40-something artist in Olympia, which has a really big diy/punk scene and there's lots of zine fests and stuff around here! it just seems unavoidable!
