One strength of Lies of P that im surprised by, a stronger feeling of tragedy going through the ruined city.
Like in Bloodborne, yharnam is such a hyper wackadoo Religious Scary Creepzone that like
"Ok yeah these people were fucked long before the tipping point"
but when you're seeing like, the immeidate aftermath ofa sudden disaster like the puppet frenzy in like, A normal pretty city? Kinda hits a little stronger.
(Also hearing pets yowling behind windows makes me sad :c)
Actually the approach to and trek through the Scary Church area is a great example of the game's ability to build vibe with its envriomental storytelling. Like i've only barely peentrated the church proper but throughout its done a bunch of great tricks to like, make it sink in "Ohhhhh shit is fuuuuuucked here. Shit got FUUUUUUUUUCKED UP in here."
