ok so I noticed one pattern of my keys fucking up is like, the affected keys would sometimes refuse to type when shift was held down. That's been a factor since the start of this nightmae.

But tonight I noticed that for some reason they'd specically get finnicky if i tried to type right after the letter U. Like that seemed to set it off, like if I wanted to say UMPIRE in all caps, it'd give me trouble

So I popped open the U key and got rid of a noticeable little bit of shmutz and now its been normal so far?

like totally normal?

I wonder if when I had been fucking around with my keys trying to swap mechanisms.... fucking with the U key is what gave me those six days of total normalcy. like SOMETHING had to have happened to make it stop wigging out for so long.

It's still normal! Multipel folks have told me the issue is likely inevitable wear and tear and noting can really be done to permanently fix it without replacing the thing but apparently ive found the pressure point to keep it going for a little while longer,

I appreciate it because id really rather not have to deal with this right now.
