While i was trying to sleep last night my brain got into a thought loop about Proton confronting the darker aspects of the Korps

Now i definitely touched on his discomfort in The Line but, idunno I think there's still opportunities to really explore some like, Gray Areas on both sides of the Hero/Villain dichotomy. Obviously the argument can be made superheroes are an extension of state authority, or an expression of archaic fascistic and punitive views on 'justice'

But there ARE parts of the Korps that indulge or revel in supervillainy for supervillainy's sake, or touch on more Morally Iffy methods of bringing about their vision (I often hear that the character Councilor Dakos is on that wavelength), or just their own intense methods on dealing with super jerks and politicians.

This is NOT some "AH BUT YOU PARTICIPATE IN SUPERPOWERED RETRIBUTIVE VIOLENCE! I AM VERY INTELLIGENT" spiel, I love the Korps

But I DO think there's a goldmine of interesting discussion on what individuals in this mixup believe is right, or engagement with different perspectives on the morality of what the Korps is and other such big heavy stuff like that.

Like, particularly in Korps Prime, I sometimes notice a specific "Supervillains Good, Superheroes Bad" stance from characters, an it just makes me interested in exploring that worldview. Now, putting obvious and well-reasoned critiques about incarceration to the side for a minute, I'm curious on how different Korps folk (Both Characters and Creators) feel about the existence of Supervillains who are just. Not good. Like, you know, the types who'll hold entire cities hostage with doomsday weapons or dangle kids over vats of acid or trying to enact some crazed violent philosophy, or are just Greedy Violent Jerks Who Didn't Find A Place In the Established System.

Like, Supervillains as a rejection of the status quo is an important and good interpretation, but sometimes there's just assholes or weird Space Monsters. How does the Korps view that? would it root for them because they're on the same 'side' of the law, enemy of my enemy type deal, or do they see them as much as a problem as Fascist Supercops?

Bringing back incarceration, obviously, Superheroes thoughtlessly throwing villains they foil to the cops and prison system is bad but. In a fictional universe where crazy super scientists and God-like powers exist, how do you deal with that? Obviously there's Korps-Powered therapy, but does that work on everyone? Would more extreme measures need to be taken to nullify Genuine Bad Actors, and if so would that be a betrayal of their core values? Is say, slapping someone into drone gear and overwriting their free will a 'lesser evil' in their eyes?

I'm not trying to be some "Just Asking Questions" bad faith idiot, but I legit am just, curious on diving deep into the philosophical/ethical boundaries on this stuff.
