Was thinkin about this post again cause I got an ask about what my biggest pet peeve in kink or a theme in art is and like... stuff like this?
Transformation is like my go to favorite thing for art. And it's weird cause there's always a bit of a "scale" when it comes to transformation stuff for me cause like. I like playing around with ideas of some more extreme methods of transformation. A virus, some mad scientist deciding to transform people because they think it's fun (yes that is a reference to that one spider-man dinosaur comic). And there's lots of good art like that out there, but it's amazing how introducing identity death into the picture just flat out ruins... all of it?
Like the bit mentioned here? I like playing with mental urges mc and stuff like that in tf stuff, it can be really fun. But I never really find it fun when it's identity death cause it straight up kills all of the creative joy that comes with the tf. I always find imagining the aftermath of transformation stuff fun. How will the one transformed react to the world around them after being transformed? You don't get that when you introduce identity death into the picture because the character made, even if they barely had one to begin with doesn't exist anymore.
I definitely plan on writing/drawing more tf content in the future and there's a reason why a general theme is that even if a tf happens that isn't asked for, the one it happens to always comes out happier or actually enjoys it. I just can't personally see the fun aspect in writing something that's pretty much just... death, for lack of a better term.
