Hey, I can't help but notice how many of y'all posted "Play something other than D&D" in your TTRPG goals for the year. Could I perhaps interest you in a Forged in the Dark alternative I've been working on?
Heroes by Heartlight (https://tatterpig.itch.io/hbh) is my love letter/evolved shitpost to classic fantasy rpgs. It focuses on the relationship between the heroes and the settlement they protect. It's still got more features in the work but can be run as is without issue.
The best feedback I've heard from my players is that "It's like D&D without the bullshit" and "This reminds me why I loved this genre."
