Had a walk this morning to buy all the things to make me not gross and snotty, and ever since I drew garfield thinking 'vinesauce' I started thinking about tik tok phonk and how some people can't stand it. I'm like 'eh' because I was forged in the fires of Westwood and his fucking belligerent soundboard as the only real doorway to rap in the UK back then.
I always thought he was a bad dj but the more I thought about it, and the more I see how shitty the music industry is, I kinda believe otherwise now. As a radio dj, he wasn't allowed to edit the tracks like you'd expect to do when beatmatching and all that, slowing or speeding them up etc, because you need to sell the song. So to keep an air of authenticity despite being white and middle class, the only thing he could do was drown out the previous song in a cacophony of gunfire, glass breaking and airhorns like it's a youtube poop, allowing the next track to rise from the dust of the chaos as the final "W-W-W-W-W-W-WESTWOOOD" dissipates into the atmosphere.
Honestly I might be misremembering because it's been fucking decades since I last thought about Westwood, but anyway distorted vinesauce boom
lmao fuck him actually nvm thanks Google.
