Anybody else avoid watching music videos because you don't want the visuals to permanently color your interpretation or impression of the music?

Music will mean very different things to me over time and the shape of that meaning is very susceptible to impression. I find that if I limit those impressions to the feelings I'm having, the music becomes far more enjoyable and memorable and meaningful.

I'm not saying this is the correct way to do anything, but curious if others have felt this way.

I've mentioned it before, I'm sure, but this very unknown game has the distinction of being one of a handful of games whose soundtracks I purchased. And it's only recently appeared in full on youtube.
