Since cohost doesn't let you see other folk's tags on posts they rechost, I'd like to remind y'all about leaving comments on posts!

Tell an artist you like their work, add on to a conversation, give your thoughts! I know some of y'all are shy, but even a 'Love this!' goes a long way. I still gotta get better about this myself, but I just really wanted to encourage it. It means a lot when y'all take a quick moment out of your day to go that extra step.

My rule of thumb has been commenting with the things I would tag on tumblr

Tbh this is the first website i loosened up enough to leave comments of the sort.

I am an anxious mess that gets worried if a "Love your work!" Is going (somehow, in some way) to be interpreted as a "may the nine hells welcome you with open doors", but everyone here is just so chill and casual i feel more comfortable getting the weird jokes and genuine but cheesy compliments outta my head.

Go.
Say "i love your stuff" to your favourite artists.
Say "this is so funny" to your local jesters.
Say "man, you're awesome" to your friends.
They will hear you, they love it.
Sometimes they even respond with love too!

Wait, it doesn't even inform the OP that the post has had tags added? That seems... Wild. Whole reason I put stuff in the tags is so I don't have to get up in people's face, but so they can view it if they so choose. Shame if there's no way to so-choose.

Yeah nope! You have to reallllly go looking if you wanna see peoples tags i.e. going to their profile from the notification. Certainly not my favorite system in the world!

You can see if someone makes a full-on addition like adding images or text in their rechosts, but no tags on their own, which is a shame
