I highly, highly recommend reading the article in full - don't use job sites. Especially not Indeed. They have no interest in actually helping you find a job - they're more content to skim money from employers for unfit for purpose "skill tests", and sell your data on to advertisers while serving you job ad after job ad, hoping you stick around in the pursuit of finding a job that, as it turns out, doesn't actually exist, and probably hasn't for months.

First: Read it all. DO SO.

Second: I had this exact same thought to another point in it the other day. Sat down and asked myself if doing an assessment test (not just on indeed) but finishing too quick because I know my shit somehow counts against it because the scoring would consider it cheating.

And finding out that can be the case? It's MADDENING

Seriously, fuck job hunting.

Indeed in particular is awful. I saw one Indeed ad for a job that was fucking two years old once I clicked through! I've been searching over the past few months and had way more luck like...going to specific companies' sites and seeing if they had ads with dates on them and applying to shit that was just posted.
