I'm at the point where I would immediately turn down an invite if offered, I didn't get off twitter just to go to New Twitter™️. I guess folks just haven't realized the issues with twitter go beyond just musk...

I'm looking at it through the eyes of "If X were to completely disappear tomorrow, what would be the closest replacement?" And the 2 realistic answers is probably Threads or Bluesky.

Both clearly have their own problems and will probably never be what people want, but Bluesky has the upper edge since it's being made by the same guy just trying to make Twitter again. I'm not a mind reader, I'm not sure if it'll actually be the new Twitter or just a gimmick app that people will only use for a couple of weeks, but it's doing a better job at gaining a following despite the flaws people point out and since it's still in Beta
