If you’ve ever visited the Nonsense-Castle, chances are you’ve met some of these colorful characters! They kinda live here, actually, seeing as how they’re my headmates (the Refractive Geode system) and the Nonsense-Castle is, uh, yknow, my headspace.
This isn’t an exhaustive list (yet) but I’ll update it as more of them show up and interact on here!
- 💎 Gem (she) A relatively confident witch. Tall, curvy, and wears very pleasant greens and blues. Long brown hair.
- 🗝️ Key (she/they/he) This lanky, flat-chested girlboy has poofy, light-brown hair, a silly yet vaguely mysterious demeanor, and an undying love of toys. Her signature outfit consists of a gray hoodie with a key design on the front, blue jeans, and brown boots.
- 🧣 Scarf (she/they/he) While Key represents our silliness, Scarf is our love of comfort. Brown hair, red scarf, green jacket, blue jeans, white t-shirt.
- 🟡 Butterscotch (she) Shorter than most other headmates, the ever-polite Butterscotch is the local sweetheart. She’s also Persimmon’s little sister.
- 🟠 Persimmon (she) Also on the short side, though a tad taller than her sister Butterscotch, Persimmon is a bit of a brat. Possibly a mech pilot (citation needed).
- 📝 Lápiz (she/they/he) We love stories, and Lápiz is the one who embodies that love and channels it into the creation of stories of our own!
- 🥤 Soda (she/they) Originally the CMY version of Scarf, Soda has since made a name for herself as the owner of Soda’s Potion Bar! She also represents our sweet tooth.
- 🛏️ Cozy (she/they) A tall, curvy, somewhat squishy woman who is always seeking the comfy, like a plus-sized version of Scarf.
- 🧹 Magnolia (she) The Nonsense-Castle’s diligent maid, Magnolia takes her work quite seriously. Fortunately the “infinitely sprawling” parts don’t require cleaning…
- 🧪 Neo (she/they/he) Science rules, and Neo knows it! Because she’s a scientist. Definitely not a “mad” scientist, no matter what Val says. The Castle’s fairly sizable lab is her domain.
- ♠️ Spades (he/they/she) Kind of an intermediate state between [legal name] and Key. Has black hair and dark clothes, borrowing Key’s “hoodie with a design on the front that is the thing that your name is” deal.
- Be: Beryl (she) Another witch! Beryl wears a black, witchy outfit, though her hair is bright green. She’s a little awkward when it comes to communicating, sometimes seeming unfriendly when she doesn’t mean to.
- 🎃 Midnight (she/they/he) ANOTHER witch!! Thinks every day should be Halloween. Flies around on a broom and everything. LOVES costumes, but don’t we all?
- 🎵 Lyra (she) Embodies our love of music. Always has a pair of headphones on her person. Voted “Headmate Most Likely To Attend A Rave”.
- 🪴 Fern (she) Green hair, green hoodie, green thumb! Fern isn’t a plant herself (the vines on her arms are just tattoos!) but she does know a thing or two about growing them. The Castle’s garden looks lovely thanks to her.
- 🦹♀️ Val (she) The villainess herself! Has a throne room/lair somewhere in the Castle. Uses the word “evil” to just mean “cool” and isn’t actually all that evil. Sometimes talks about underlings and evil schemes that might or might not actually exist.
- 🔒 Lock (she/they/he) Disastrously subby version of Key. Gray hair and brown hoodie instead of the other way around.
- 🃏 Leonie (she) She’s a jestergirl! Her outfit is red and blue, and so are her eyes, and so is her hair!
- 🎲 Dezi (she) While most of us are humans, Dezi is a clown instead. Very different.
- 🌕 Selene (she/they) A moon-themed friend with shortish, pearlescent-white hair.
- 👸 Charlotte (she) The princess of… something… She doesn’t know and she doesn’t much care either!
- 🕸️ Weave (she/they/it) Though she’s largely humanoid, Weave possesses many spider-like traits, including four huge spider legs that extend from her back, six tattoos on her face that resemble eyes (to add up to eight with her real eyes!) (wait, are the tattoos able to blink?), and the ability to produce silk (in her boobs of course). She is a seamstress, and loves making costumes for people!
- 👾 Alloy (it/they) Somewhat resembles a human, but its feathered, pointed ears, scaly nose, and general attitude give away its true beastly nature.
- 🔧 Honeycomb (she/they/he) The mechanic/inventor who created Bitwise. Somewhat steampunk aesthetic, also slightly bee-themed.
- 🤖 Bitwise (it/they/he) A humanoid robot whose body is incapable of using or even learning to use magic due to its high iron content. This is by design, and Bitwise is a little salty about it, though their attitude is otherwise quite good.
- 🌬️ Gale (she/they) Instead of ordinary casting, Gale uses a special sniper rifle to fire her spells. There are many rumors of her using this rifle to thanklessly help others from afar when their life needs a bit of a “change”.
- O: Olivia (she) Dress up as an Eevee.
- L: Locrian (he/they/she) The local boywitch, Locrian rocks a magenta-and-black color scheme reminiscent of the infamous missing texture!
- 🎨 Rebecca (she/they) A painter whose dream is to master paint-themed magic, considering it to be the ultimate painting technique. She has discovered this power within herself, and must now learn to control it.
- 🐰 Izu Kamiya (she) An anthropomorphic robot rabbit. Very eccentric personality. Izu is actually our first fictive, and comes from the game Picayune Dreams!
- ☘️ Clover (she/fae) A little green fairy from the forest. Allegedly transforms those who get lost there into woodland creatures… and then changes them back later. What a weird fairy…
