I know this is a long shot on here since I just made this account and have like 5 followers. But does anyone has experience resume writing? I dont have a huge budget. but I need help. I was a mechanic for a long time and got hurt and had to change career paths and now im back in school for MIS and Computer Tech. So my resume looks awful because Its had to conform for so many things. I need help writing a resume that looks tech-professional and looks something like the above picture. I have a pre-written resume with ALL of my info and work and education so you wouldnt be writing this out of thin air. if you know someone or are someone please message me!

In general it can help if you can use the same words in your resume that are used in the job posting. Even before the GPT gold rush HR departments use AI to do preliminary weeding before a human even sees it.

Also it generally helps to keep your bullet points short as possible, while still communicating impressive accomplishments. This is usually done by lying or using BS business double speak to make things sound more important than they actually are.

That's most of what i know in general, and I didn't really have good job luck until a few years ago. Hopefully this stuff helps and you can find a smarter person to help you out with this.

If you have a local library system, someone there may be able to help or point you in the direction of your local workforce development office that can help with this stuff. (assumming those resources are disposable to you of course.)
